The Votes Have Been Tallied
The Eagle Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors welcomes three members to its seated officials. We welcome returning (incumbent) Shawn Nickel, Heather Ferguson and Kenny Pittman to a 3-year term through 2024.
We are excited to kick off 2022 with fresh and new ideas to enhance our membership benefits and endeavors to give back to the Eagle community.
On behalf of the Eagle Chamber of Commerce board of directors and staff, we hope you had a Merry Christmas and wish you a Happy, Joyous New Year! It has been a challenging time for all of us over the past two years and we are looking forward to a wonderful 2022.
2021 started off with some cancellations of community events, such as State of the City but with a real effort Eagle has been blessed in the ability to keep open with in-person events with record attendance.
Throughout the summer and fall we hosted mixers, luncheons, coffee with the chamber, Friday Fun Night, Eagle Chamber Classic Golf Tournament and participated with Eagle Art Walk and Eagle Country Christmas.
We added 75 new chamber members this year, including six just this month, and our retention rate is steady. All this in spite of the current atmosphere.
We continue pursuing the many objectives laid out in our yearly strategic plan. We are well on our way to implementing attention on tourism, always focused on economic development, shop local initiatives, workforce incentives and member benefits.
The chamber hosted our annual Friday Fun Night (in association with Eagle Fun Days) on July 9th, cosponsored by Westmark Credit Union. Though the turnout wasn’t comparable to years before (we feel this was due to promotion & having to spread out festivities due to city expansions) … which will be addressed for this year. Thank you to everyone that came out and, on behalf of all of us, we want to thank our sponsors and the Jukebox Band for making the event unforgettable.
With the success of the Eagle Chamber Classic Golf Tournament comes providing the Eagle Classic Scholarship to a deserving 2022 graduate. This would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors and team participants.
We look forward to 2022 and thank all our sponsors in advance and look forward to providing continuous support for the Eagle Community.
