\n Idaho Art Gallery is proud to announce our featured artist for the month of October\, Michael Norsk. Michael\, along with his family\, made the significant move to Boise from Chicago in 2017. Mr. Norsk is a distinguished abstract expressionist painter\, specializing in acrylic on canvas as his chosen medium. His active involvement within the Boise community has been notably impactful\, earning him the distinction of being featured on the cover of Boise Weekly on two separate occasions.
\n &ldquo\;As an abstract expressionist working predominantly with acrylics on canvas\, I tend to steer away from imposing the limitations of traditional elements within my work\, such as line and form. \;Instead\, I accent the use of layering\, texture\, contrast and value.

\n My painting process is therapeutic and calming: facilitating specifically the management of my mind. \;When I lay paint to canvas\, an uninhibited display of emotion\, feeling\, and thought flows within my soul.&rdquo\;
